Good news for Kirinyaga Artists,a new Savings and Credit Coperative KIMAS is underway. Project started after few Kirinyaga Artists led by the late Sammy Murimi Nderi (Wakahalf) met to start up a self help group but one their members suggested to have a savings chama. All members agreed but one of them known as Waweru Ga Teddy suggested they create a Sacco so as to incorporate any willing artist from their region.
"Everything is all set, tumebakisha kitu kidogo sana sababu tunapata opposotion from some other self help group from Mwea but we assure all willing members we'll be ready by early september. We welcome every artist from Kirinyaga to come save with us for as secure future" said their Secretary Mr.Mugo.
This is a very good idea and I think all artists should join hands and save for their future too. Artists earn a lot of money but most die very poor visit Sheikh Karume road and you'll know why I say so.
